INSTANT PRODUCT COLLECTION

Combining special weaving techniques, bindings and yarns make it possible to weave products straight out of the weaving machine. As the textile is woven from a 2D machine, it doesn’t need any other handling, such as assembling, stitching or sewing, but instantly become a product.

2 PROJECTS FOR DROOG DESIGN

Within the context of Dry tech, the experimental lab of Droog Design, Studio Samira Boon developed in collaboration with NEXT architects two new products. The aim of the Droog lab is to make innovative products out of new materials, mainly textiles and composites. As outcome we show the ‘Spacer Chair’, made out of sandwich braided material and the ‘Woven Waffle Screen’ for which we also developed the textile at the Textile Museum in Tilburg (NL).

At Present the Spacer Chair and Woven Waffle Screen are part of the Dry Tech exhibition:
